On The Sustainery, we are writing about our experience with leading a sustainable life and share our thoughts on good examples of sustainable projects, initiatives or practices. We hope to help with refining sustainable actions and learn together with our readers letting the seedlings of sustainability grow.

The faces behind the Sustainery

We, Hanna and Julian, met during our studies of Sustainable Development at the University of Graz. Since then, we have both moved to different cities to write our Master's Theses, We collaborate on this project to continue sharing our passion for more sustainable societies all around the world. It is all about action!

As a first goody, we would like to share our understanding of sustainability with you. Sustainable development is about two things: working towards justice for those living on our planet now and those who will live on it in the future as well as bringing humans (back) into a dynamic balance, interacting with nature on a global and a local scale. Like that, sustainability is not an empty phrase to us but a vision that needs to be supported by actions here and now to become reality.
